Watch this video, I mean it... There is no one like Joe Pass. He is the one I always tell the story of practicing 6 hours or more a day his whole life. As you watch him, realize that he is improvising this whole piece, based on a 12 bar blues progression (he is making it up as he goes). It's incredible that he combines bass chords and solos all in the same piece, in such an inventive way. He is the jazz guitar master of even the jazz guitar masters.
