Andrés Segovia plays Torroba Suite Castellana, I. Fandango

Andres Segovia is the father of the modern guitar. We all owe a great deal to him. He actually transformed the guitar into a legitimate instrument, that could be used in classical music. His technique was flawless and impeccable, and he created a style of playing with partial nail, partial skin, to create a warmer tone. I have always thought it is interesting to note that he had short, fat fingers, and wondered if that helped his tone. To play this kind of music is much more difficult than it looks. Enjoy.
